How often do we need to change the H94 portable friction analyzer paper

I used the same procedure as you mentioned and it worked, but my question is what is the standard procedure (paper, thickness, size) that we have to use to get consistent results.

And, how often do we have to change the paper on the flat slider. I suppose, by using it for several times the surface of the paper will be contaminated and the measurement will be different.

A quick test to check “number of tests is”

1.  With a clean sample test the product to get a “baseline” COF
2.  Continue to test on different parts of the surface.
3.  Watch the COF values.
4.  If they start to drift lower or higher, record how many tests total before the difference is a concern based on you specs.
Repeat the test a couple times and determine the “average” these number of tests needed before degradation
5.  Back off this number a bit for a safety factor
6.  Set that as the protocol
7.  Evaluate for at least two weeks and then determine it the protocol needs be adjusted.
